Article : Hardware Retail Store Manager Wanted

We are looking for a dedicated Retail Manager who can guarantee the smooth daily running of our Hardware store, Mainlys of Trowbridge and to ensure sales, profit, performance and customer service level.

As a Store Manager you will lead by example as this role is to deliver the highest level of service to our customers whilst ensuring that colleagues are happy and motivated.

It is a varied and challenging role that requires excellent leadership and communication skills along with a hands-on management approach. You will also be required to maximise sales by consistently delivering excellent store standards.

Key responsibilities

To lead, support and motivate and provide exceptional standards of customer service
Drive sales by ensuring the store is fully stocked and well merchandised
Stock ordering
Reporting to higher management
Full accountability for all cash and stock controls within the store
To take responsibility for the organisation and communication of store related activities such as training, induction, and resolving any HR issues.
This role requires a flexible approach, as you will be required to work at our other store Mainlys of Devizes occasionally as well as working some weekends in Trowbridge.

If you have previous experience within the retail industry, the ability to coach and train others, a flexible and adaptable approach and a passion for delivering the best possible experience, we’d really love to hear from you.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £23,000.00 per year

Experience:

Retail Management: 1 year (Preferred)
Knowledge or interest of DIY and hardware an advantage
Computer skills essential including word and spreadsheets
Knowledge of EPOS systems
You will be motivated, driven, and have a high level of commitment to working independently
